The 19 th Hole.P1 10am Thursday, June 12, 1924 : Another Arthur has gone missing from his Thistledown golf course, northeast of Danvers. Dissatisfied that the local police haven’t found him, Arthur’s wife Crystal McMillan tasks the valet Gordon to find Private Investigators. Gordon remembers the newspaper article about a Vance Detective Agency finding another Arthur and thus gives Peter a call. Jimmy Hoplomania: unhealthy obsession with firearms. Demonomania: fear demons behind doors. Peter Pseudomania: compulsion to lie. Apotemnophobia: fear of people with amputations. Essie Basophobia: fear of falling. Geliomania- compulsion to laugh.   Hook : Friday Nov 4 th , 1921. You both live in Arkham, Massachusetts. Peter’s grandmother will be celebrating her 90 th   birthday tomorrow up in Ipswich, Massachusetts. He has invited his dear friend Essie to come along since she has met the grandmother before. It’s late (6pm) by the time they get on the road after work. And the weather isn’t cooperating: driving rain, horrendous storm... the likes of which hasn’t been seen in a century. Essie (Gagnon) Vance [Whitney] : Telephone Operator. High School sweetheart of Peter but they went their own ways… she interested in travel and adventure, he wanting to stay in Arkham as a cop. Essie married an Archaeologist and found her travel and adventure as the mechanic of the expeditions. But when they returned to Arkham, Richard was mysteriously killed.   Missed Dues.P2 (Essie, Peter, Jimmy, Riche) Tuesday 2pm, Oct 24 th : Leaving the Sacred Heart Church , they drove on to the southside Sycamore Speakeasy . Jimmy opted to stay in the car parked a block away (rival gang would recognize him, causing trouble). Riche was the first to the secret bar’s door and knocked.  When the view port opened, he was tongue-tied, “Yes, I am thirsty and would like to come in.” The bouncer was impressed by his clothes and the doll behind him but kept the door closed. It took a few moments for Riche to remember the code word Jimmy passed along, “Oh yes, Bubbles sent us.” This speakeasy was nothing like Riche’s preferred Northside! Definitely hadn’t seen a mop or cleaning rag in months. The dozen patrons paused in their drinking to stare at the new arrivals.
